Volker Pietrek wurde 1959 in Frankfurt am Main geboren. Seit seiner Jugend und Schulzeit interessiert er sich für Kunst und Malerei. 

Für seine Bilder, die man stilistisch der abstrakten Kunst zuordnen kann, verwendet er bevorzugt Acryl - und Aquarellfarben. Es entstand über Jahre hinweg in seinem Atelier in Kelkheim im Taunus eine Vielzahl an Werken, von denen er seit 2008 eine Auswahl in seiner virtuellen Galerie vorstellt. 2009 fand in der Alten Kirche Hornau in Kelkheim seine erste Ausstellung mit dem Titel Colours in Space statt.

Volker Pietrek, der Musik und die Natur als seine Inspirationsquellen nennt, gelingt mit einer unorthodoxen Herangehensweise mit seinen Bildern ein ganz eigener Ausdruck, der wie selbstverständlich Emotionen beim Betrachter auslöst – und das immer wieder aufs Neue.

Volker Pietrek was born in Frankfurt am Main in Germany in 1959. Beginning in his boyhood he has been interested in art and painting.

His style of painting could be assigned to abstract art, he normally uses acrylic and water colours. Over several years he has created a lot of works in his studio in Kelkheim im Taunus in Germany, whereof he presents a collection in a virtual gallery since 2008. In 2009 his first exhibition Colours in Space took place at Alte Kirche Hornau in Kelkheim.

Volker Pietrek is inspired by music and nature. Thus his approach to painting offers his individual expression and character inducing directly the emotions of the spectators – time and time again.
